Friends of All Saints' Church
Let's All Be Friends
Members of the Crawley Down community have joined together, and with the full support of the church have formed a support group "Friends of All Saints' Church".
The aim of the group is to provide support to ensure that All Saints' Parish Church in Crawley Down and its grounds are kept for the benefit of the community both now and for future generations to come. The church provides a focal point for Crawley Down and has been part of our village life for well over 150 years, and would be greatly missed if it was not to remain as such.
Your church needs friends. If you live in the parish of Crawley Down then you should come and join us by becoming a Friend of All Saints' Church. The current group is made up of people from the community who care about our church. You don't have to regularly attend church. In fact, the group is made up of a mix of people: some that do attend church and others that only ever go to church if there is a Wedding, Christening or a Funeral.
What we do have in common is a wish to secure the future of our church so that the general community is not damaged by its loss.
The objects of the scheme are to advance the mission and ministry of the church in the community through the repair, maintenance, restoration, preservation and improvement of All Saints Church and the Glebe Centre, and of the fixtures and fittings in the Church, the churchyard and the Glebe Centre.
Membership of the Friends Scheme is open to anyone who would like to join and is prepared to support its objects.
